Dartmoor’s contours get mapped
Dartmoor is the latest landscape to get the British Mountain Map makeover. The 1:40,000 scale map is designed especially for climbers and hill walkers. It covers the whole of Dartmoor in one lightweight, tear-resistant and waterproof sheet.  Sir Ranulph Fiennes said: “This inspiring new map will help walkers and climbers explore Dartmoor’s wild granite landscapes. And, like the granite, the map is virtually indestructible!”   The map is produced by Harvey Maps in association with the BMC and the British Geological Survey.
